These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled out of court falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of [TODO: city, e.g. "Paris"].

Service

Paperkey provides software-licensing infrastructure: an API, a dashboard, and an SDK. The SDK is open-source under the MIT license; the API and dashboard are source-available.

Acceptable use

• One account per legal entity.
• Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape internal endpoints, or probe for vulnerabilities outside our security policy.
• Do not use the service to license malware, spyware, or content prohibited by law.

Pricing & billing

Plans are listed at /pricing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time; access remains through the end of the paid period.

Service level

We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime on paid plans. Free-tier traffic is best-effort. Status, incidents, and the formal SLA will be published before general availability.

Data ownership

You own your account data, license keys, and customer records. You can export them from the dashboard at any time. If we ever wind down the service, you will receive at least 90 days' notice and a final export window.

Liability

The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Our aggregate liability for any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability we cannot lawfully limit.

Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use clause without notice.

Changes

Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
